Frost Cracking
Has anyone ever heard frost cracking? I was in the woods yesterday morning and kept hearing what sounded like an axe hitting a tree. Only thing I could figure is frost cracking.

Can't say I've heard that. But snow falling from branches always makes me perk up lol.
My favorite is when a frozen river, stream, or lake cracks or am acorn or walnut drops on the ice.
